Here is a wedding picture set in the courtyard of the Angel Hotel in 1932. The Angel Hotel has long offered a sophisticated wedding setting. From the moment the couple approach the Hotel, we involve ourselves completely in planning the special day.
The Angel Hotel is licensed for civil ceremonies. Our three function rooms cater for different size parties. Up to 120 can be looked after for the wedding breakfast; 180 for an evening reception. Our staff will attend the every detail of your event, including seating plans, floral arrangements, and entertainment.
And as an extra from us, we offer a complimentary room for the bride and groom to spend their first honeymoon night. Or just to use for rest and changing (note: with a minimum £3,500 catering budget).
Of course, we do our best to fix things at short notice. But these are complex arrangements, and we do recommend booking at least six months ahead for proper planning, and up to 15 months in advance.
THE CASTLE
Abergavenny Castle is only a short walk from the hotel. A popular arrangement is to hold the civil wedding ceremony in one of our three function rooms, depending on your party size. Then, to follow with canapés and drinks in the Castle grounds.
